Remember Priya Ramani? She got a standing ovation at the 10th Annivesary of the three-day Goa Art & Literary Festival which kicked off at the ICG on Thursday evening, Dec 5, 2019. As GALF keynote speaker the vivacious editor-journalist-columnist, celebrated MeToo campaigner, Priya Ramani was one of the first to speak up against sexual harassment of women at the work place, and against the mighty A J Akbar (editor, author, politician) who retaliated by filing an ongoing criminal defamation case against her. She disarmed the GALF audience in her address, urging women to speak up, it empowers women, brings them a sense of liberation, “We women don’t speak up enough!”
