Shooting Destination Goa
Uncategorized November 21, 2025FILM DESTINATION GOA: The State has been a favourite destination for film shoots. Indeed, the sequel to Bourne Identity was shot at Pallolem in Canacona. Among the early international films was The Sea Wolves, featuring David Niven and Kenneth Griffith shot in Mormugoa and old Martin’s Beach Corner in Caranzalem. Shyam Benegal shot Trikal, featuring Leela Naidu at the ancestral house of Mario Miranda in Loutolim. Amitabh Bachchan made his film debut in Saath Hindustani – a film on Goa Liberation by A K Abbas. The first film creating awareness on drug menace Hare Rama Hare Krishna by Dev Anand was shot partly in Goa in Dona Paula, which is promoted by tourist guides as the spot where Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri commited sucide. So was Jalwa with our very own Remo Fernandes. Famous Bobby climax was shot in Goa with Pran And Dimple playing Goan Characters. The list is endless – Dil Chahta Hai, Khamoshi, Finding Fanny, Bhoothnath and Dhoom Series.
