The NHAI doesn’t have any toll plaza in Goa. This is general knowledge. Goans don’t pay any toll. And this is one reason the “emergency responders” at 1033 helpline refuse to register a complaint for pathetic and fatal highway conditions. They say “Sir yeh NHAI ke under nahi, MORTH ke under aata hai”. I say NHAI should be renamed NAHI(for their ability to say no to any kind of public grievance) and MORTH should be renamed to MAUT (because it is obvious).
The rain filled potholes are ignored on the busiest(and now even more congested) of locations. Water and gas pipelines, electric and internet cables are being damaged proactively by the highway contractor, who is not penalized. The labour is working without any safety equipment or uniform whatsoever like it’s a school project and they’re building roads out of thermocol (looks like it actually is thermocol though).
1033 emergency/patrol vehicle used to loiter around MES junction and driver used to snack at Bangalore bakery often till last year but now it’s nowhere to be seen when there is active construction going on.
The police when informed says “fire departmentak inform kar mare”.
What is fire department going to do?
NHAI helpline says ” aako local help hi Lena padega”
PWD says this is NHAI jurisdiction.
Sarpanch has blocked me and doesn’t care.
MLA is DevManus and would have intervened only if the highway was built on communidade land.
MP is probably worried only about the the security breach to the nearby defence establishments.
The nearby defence establishments should try to protect the public, but this is not war so it’s okay if Indian citizens die in road accidents.
And so on and so forth.
This is the state of our world class infrastructure ani bhivpachi kaslich garaz na.
“We will make the situation scary but you don’t get scared. Okay?”
Just do grand inauguration ceremonies and gaand when it comes to functionality and convenience and safety. People will be happy.
Police is even more happier to stand 3 hours waiting for VIPs to arrive but quickly gets angry if somebody insists to register a genuine FIR.
Traffic police who once spent the entire day at Vales signal to challan commuters are now suddenly posted somewhere else because the job of traffic police is not to regulate traffic and ensure safety but to collect preventable fines.
Might as well send them door to door to every home to sell sabun tikia and sone ka pani chada hua kakna. Because police ka kaam hai paisa kamaana. Local bekaar laudi log(e.g. me) ka kaam hai public safety.
So/therefore/hence now I’m seeking local help.
I have registered two complaints on call, which were closed saying incorrect toll plaza details when they never asked about a toll plaza. They say “toll plaza ke bina location detect nahi hoga” but were ready to send an ambulance to the exact location when I told them “6 people have died in an accident just now”.
I tried registering a complaint mentioning names of toll plazas outside Goa which they refused to register(even though their world class supercomputer system was accepting) as it was hurting their logic.
I have managed to register a grievance on imhcl.co.in and 2 complaints with location and picture in WhatsApp helpline 8810331033.
I will register one with goaonline.gov.in too.
Requesting/advising/commanding all well wishers of homo sapiens and doggo and gau mata to please take 5 minutes and report all the potholes and risky roads, dysfunct streetlights and free hanging wires, crorepatis(who can’t afford Rs100/month) throwing kachra by the roadside, waterlogging and open drains, and any other issue with the respective channels.(NHAI, PWD ROADS/WATER, ELECTRICITY, ADANI GAS, POLICE, PANCHAYAT, ETC)
Posting on social media handles is ignored but mass posting(spamming) won’t be ignored.
Please take your time out and spam the shit out of these assholes(they’re constipated).
