VOTE FOR REAL DEVELOPMENT
Uncategorized January 22, 2026IN changing times, voters’ expectations have also changed. Today’s voters want concrete action and results rather than just empty promises or passionate speeches. Currently, issues of actual development will be more important to voters than mere rhetoric. Thankfully, the days of persuasion, bribery, punishment, and division are over. I hope, people would understand what they mean by actual development.
Not just announcements but the actual completion of infrastructure projects such as roads, flyovers, metros, uninterrupted electricity supply, transportation facilities, housing and clean drinking water is crucial.
Young people want concrete job opportunities and employment, not just inspiration from speeches. Of course, job creation is falling short. Millions of Indians are waiting for employment opportunities.
Affordable and quality healthcare services, as well as a modern education system, have become a primary need today. This situation is at least 90% better in Goa.
Digital transparency is absolutely essential. Information from every department should be available online. In essence, the Right to Information Act should be at your doorstep. Reducing delays in government work and providing all services transparently and on time is considered, and will continue to be considered, true development.
Considering sustainable development, and in light of increasing pollution and climate change, voters are giving more preference to environment-friendly development projects. In short, today’s voter has become more aware. They’re deciding their vote not on “what will be done,” but on “what has been done.” That’s why development has replaced rhetoric on the political stage. This is called transformation, a truly tangible transformation!

BUDGET 2026:
SHOULD THE 30% INCOME TAX SLAB BE RAISED AND INDEXED TO INFLATION?
TAX experts are advocate increasing India’s 30% tax slab from Rs24 lakh to Rs35 lakh to counter inflation, boosting middle-class disposable income and economic growth, amid Union Budget 2025-26 discussions. If it is done it will be a game-changer both economically and politically too. Additionally, to boost the automobile sector, all hybrid vehicles should be brought under the 18% GST Slab (EVs are already under the 5% GST slab).
This will boost the economy and lower pollution levels and lead to faster phasing out of ICE vehicles (vehicles running only on fuel).
Furthermore the road tax across India should be brought under the 5% GST slab in a further boost to the economy and stop tax evasion of luxury vehicles in states where the road tax is very high by registering vehicles in states where the road tax is very low.
To conclude I hope the FM brings real estate, electricity, petroleum products and municipal services under the GST too. And GST on Sin Goods like alcohol and tobacco should be further increased.
This will further boost the economy.

AAP’S FREE & QUALITY HEALTHCARE
THIS is to inform you of Aam Aadmi party’s (AAP) vision of free and quality healthcare for people which has taken a giant leap. Recently, at Mohalli, our national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann launched the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana Scheme to benefit three crore people of Punjab.
This scheme is unique and starts a new healthcare revolution in Punjab. AAP’s health insurance scheme offers: One of the highest cover of Rs10lakh per family. No income restriction for beneficiaries; 2,350 plus medical treatments available and cashless treatment; also 900 plus private and government hospitals empanelment.
Also, State president Valmiki Naik and Sr Vice-President Sunil Signapukar and other AAP members visited the FDA office in Bambolim to protest the raid on the property of activist Sameer Govekar from Keri who had criticized the Valpoi MLA and Minister Vishwajit Rane over illegalities in Sattari taluka during a public meeting called by Dr Justice Ferdin Rebello. The Health & TCP minister should not misuse a government department like FDA for his political vendetta.
