I DON’T know about you, but far away as I was, I pumped my fist in the air after India comprehensively, bombarded the daylights or nightlights of Pakistan , during Operation Sindoor.
Finally, finally no pussy footing, dancing the tango two steps forward one backwards, and talks of interminable and useless dialogues and conversations with ” Kid Brother ” Pakistan.
This was even better than Balakot.
Deep into Pak terrory.
Hard, Precise, Swift.
The Bozos did not even know what hit them or how to respond.
This isn’t just me gassing.
The New York Times, left leaning and never a great admirer of Modi, confirms this.
We won this fair and square.
We hit them, mercilessly from the Air, and Pakis were, frankly gasping for air.
So am I a new convert to jingoism??
Is this akin to war mongering??
In a word NO.
Much like the beleaguered and articulate Shashi Tharoor, which the The SA ( son in law ), RE ( RAGA, who else ) GA ( Gandhis ) MA (self explanatory) PA ( Priyanka ) party wants to hang in the public square, I totally agree with Shashi.
Look at it this way, my left liberal friends, after the War of Independence, America’s greatest and most enduring battle was the Civil War.
Many think that battle was fought to free the black slaves of America.
That was one of the reasons.
But the most emphatic reason, Lincoln went to war against the Confederates was to preserve the UNION
No splitting the country.
Spain has fought long and hard against Basque and Catalonian separatists.
Northern Ireland fought long battles against the Union, but Great Britain counterattacked and prevailed.
Even good old treacherous Turkey put down the Kurds. Forcefully and drones on and on about Turkish sovereignty, and promptly supplies drones to Pakistan, to vivisect India.
About China’s human rights abuses in Tibet, and Xianjing , the less said the better.
The point is every country guards its sovereignty, zealously.
So, as much as we whine about abrogation of 370 and soft separatists (soft as in Gelato??) and the plight of poor Kashmiris etc etc,
the mandate is clear.
The vast majority of this country are completely fed up of negotiating with Pakistan or any of these Islamist long beard separatists.
That play is effectively over.
Love Modi or hate Modi.
But India demonstrated that Pakistan was nothing but a paper tiger.
Of course they are crazy enough to come back with some such stunts in the future, but know they must, that there will be a hefty price to pay.
The simple logic of any political party, worth its salt, is to understand the public’s overwhelming emotion that Pakistan, will have no malleable India maneuver.
They want peace?
Beg for it, which I presume they did with good old Donald and the IMF/ World Bank and bloody well behave yourselves.
You give us a thousand cuts, we will come for your neck, and squeeze it real hard.
Any political party deviates from this logic, asking for “proof of airstrikes ” and other such idiocies are bound for the dustbin of history.
Of course, our loud and completely deranged, right wing journalists and social media colonels and brigadiers, are doing an equally huge disservice to the ecosystem- as always.
Peddling fake bombings during the conflict.
Targeting brain dead film stars, especially Muslim, during the conflict.
Egging on the defence forces to raid Pakistan as if we’re some Mongols, under Ghengis Arnab Khan, is herculean imbecile and dangerous behavior.
Let the professionals do their job and you just report it as honestly as you can.
I may be wrong on this, but my three takeaways from Operation Sindoor.
Pakistan with their moronic, Islamist army honchos, must have never expected India to hit, hit and hit this hard.
They thought a few bombs across the LOC were coming.
And they could handle that.
They give a damn about POK.
There is now too much of an India caucus, powerful and visible, in the corridors of every major country, particularly the US.
Pahalgam was deeply personal, for them as much as it was for us.
There must have been a lot of screws tightened, to tell Pakistan to back off before they imploded.
Lastly whether you are a peacenik or not, it is an indisputable fact of Life that Military Might (especially in defence of the nation) translates into economic might.
That’s the way the world works.
Get used to it.
Postscript:
After this sterling victory by India, can we in little Goa, beg and implore the central BJP leadership, to somehow tame and eliminate the corrupts, mainly from their local ministership who are waging an infernal war against our Land, our Air, our Water and our very future.
And will the BJP (local unit) who are valiantly and justifiably thumping their chests, speak to the central leadership about this War against Goa??
And to mount an effective Operation Goem, against these mercenaries.
