THE Supreme Court in a very curious case invoked Article 142, relating to the Cyber Security Act, to dissolve a marriage. SC DIRECTIVE ON BUILDINGS

THE Supreme Court has ruled that registration of property may not be acceptable as evidence of ownership. Unless supported by other documents. This follows a number of cases of fraudulent acts by registrar of property. In our own personal experience we have witnessed sub-registrars taking money for undervaluing a property for stamp duty purposes. Even if you have completed your sales deed you should confirm that the property has been transferred to your name in the land register. Unfortunately, at present there is no foolproof of registration of property. During colonial times three different sets of documents were used to confirm ownership of property.
