JESUS GIVES HOPE
I DULY agree with Christine Cramer’s “Jesus Gives Hope — a Message to City Christian Leaders” (Herald-April 17-13) who at the annual Easter rally prayed for peace in the shadow of global distrust, wars and global distability.” Today we observe that the whole world is going through a bad phase with indifference not just in the city and the nation but throughout the whole world. This is the time that we are searching for peace and unity to build a just and sustainable society.
The Christian leaders are seeking attention and power and degrading people instead of encouraging, enriching and empowering people to be true Christians and giving hope to those participating in the various social and pastoral associations of the Church. There are some who are degrading the capability of other people who wish to enrich the laity, it is time that Christian leaders must understand that Jesus gives hope in the shadow of global distrust and peace.

MAINTAIN LPG CYLINDERS RECORD!
THE Goa Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs must instituted strict recording procedures for LPG gas cylinder deliveries to ensure fair distribution and prevent hoarding, especially during high-demand periods. Because I have received reply from civil supply stating that gas agencies are private entities.
Registration and delivery guidelines in Goa may come into force. Cylinder deliveries are mandatory to be recorded. Cylinder bookings are allowed only after 25 days from the date of the previous delivery. It is learned that Civil Supplies Department directs that cylinders must be delivered at home, discouraging long queues, is this guideline executed? This should be checked practically by the government.
For residents without local address proof (such as migrant workers or students), 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders were available through authorized distributors upon presenting a valid government photo ID and a declaration. Are they available now? Well, my small cylinder is empty since two months, as there is no supply to dealer. Distributor is even not accepting payment. Why? Who will answer this question?
If a cylinder is not delivered despite booking, or if delivery staff ask for extra payment, consumers should call the 24×7 LPG Emergency Helpline at 1906 or the consumer care number 1800-2333-555. Let’s check it out in case helpline number are reliable redressal.
