BATTLE OF THE BULLET

The battle of the Ballot particularly in West Bengal has turned into the battle of the bullet. Four young members of the minority community were shot dead by the Central Reserved police force alleging that they had tried to tamper with the ballot box.

The Cooch Bihar District in North Bengal where the incident happened has a  very large Muslim minority population which has traditionally voted for Trinamol  congress. The first victim of the CISF firing was the brother of Hamidul Haq. The family has lodge a complain against CISF with the Mathanabhanga police station for attacking them on Saturday during the fourth phase of polling.

Election Commissioner officials are trying to find CCTV footage of the booth to reach at a conclusion about their occurrence of mob violence.

Amit Shah who is Home Minister who is incharge of the central industrial security force has commented “those who died in Cooch Behar were all sons who had mothers. Didi instigated them and told them to gerao the central forces and loot them”.

Mamta off course off course has strongly denied the charged and has alleged that Amit Shah and Narendra Modi are manipulating the election commission. Mamta has also accused the EC of being biased. The EC in the meanwhile has barred Mamta from campaigning for 24 hours for instigating the minorities. This is with reference to a speech Mamata made in Tarakeswar on April 4 where she is reported to have stated “I appeal to my minority brothers and sisters that Shaitan (Abbas Siddiqi of ISF)  who is fighting with BJP money… do not listen to him and led the minority votes we divided.” Mamata added “ one group should gherao and another group go and vote if the CRPF create trouble.”
