PUNISH THOSE WHO ASSAULTED JOURNALIST AT BAGA
PUNISH the accused who assaulted a journalist at Baga. Legal action will be deterrent to attacks on journalists and members of the public. The information we get is that the Calangute Police have arrested and taken the accused tout into custody following the assault of journalist Sameep Narvekar near Baga beach.
This is good. The incident occurred when the reporter tried to intervene to protect tourists from illegal touts and began recording a video. Journalists are being taken granted for selfishness and no other reasons. But some journalists are tolerant to avoid trouble, this is their modesty. It is learned that Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has strongly condemned the attack, calling the journalist a “true Goemkar.”
The Tourism Department has formally written to the Goa Police demanding strict legal measures to curb the tout menace and ensure public safety. But only serious and lawful action could take cognizance of respect for journalists.
Several leaders and members of the public have raised deep concerns regarding the safety of coastal tourist areas, demanding that the accused be heavily fined and severely dealt with by the law to prevent future misconduct. This incident is not a trivial issue.
The Police Inspector gave a detailed press briefing confirming that departmental procedures and legal crackdowns on local beach harassment remain highly active. Journalists are playing a major role to help crack down illegal activities as a duty of the Fourth Pillar of Democracy.

AAP TO LAUNCH ‘MHARGAI MUKTI YATRA
The Aam Aadmi Party has announced that it would be launching a Mhargai Mukti Yatra in Goa from November 26 (Constitution Day) till December 19 (Goa Liberation Day) in the presence of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal. According to AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik this yatra will be focussing on high prices and inflation across Goa. Present during the press conference of November 3, 2026 to announce the yatra were former Delhi CM Atishi, AAP Goa Sr Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai, AAP Goa Organising Secretary Prashant Naik, AAP Goa Working President Gerson Gomes & AAP Benaulim MLA Capt Venzy Viegas. Valmiki Naik said that the Mhargai Mukti Yatra will have two main objectives. First, AAP members will travel across Goa to listen to people’s demands, expectations and problems. Second, the party will take its six Aamchi Goyak Guarantees directly to the people and explain how these promises can help reduce the burden of inflation and improve their lives. Earlier the AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal had empathized and sympathized with the runaway rising inflation making the life of ordinary Goan families miserable. The Mhargai Mukti Yatra will interact directly with people, understand their problems and aspirations, and discuss practical solutions. AAP’s six Aamchi Goyak Guarante announced are scrapping TCP Amendment 39(A), free electricity with uninterrupted power supply, Rs10 lakh health insurance for every family, Rs3,000 monthly assistance for women, free bus travel for women and world class playgrounds with all facilities for youth in every village. Kejriwal said these guarantees will help reduce the financial burden experienced by aam aadmi families. Former Delhi CM Atishi said the aim of the yatra is not just to raise issues but to bring real change in the lives of ordinary people. Corruption is at the root of this and current BJP politics and politicians are responsible for this serious situation. AAP accuses the BJP government of prioritising builders and wealthy interests over protecting Goa’s land, environment and people. Unfortunately, Goa is ruled by a BJP-Congress joint venture, remember how 14 of the BJP’s 28 MLAs were originally elected on Congress tickets! AAP’s message loud and strong is Goa needs freedom from inflation, BJP and the politics of defections.

MUMBAI INTERNATONAL AIRPORT
The Adani-owned Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) is undertaking extensive redevelopment of Terminal 1 (T1) at CSMIA. To handle the domestic flight reallocations during this construction, MIAL has proposed reducing international departures at Terminal 2 (T2) by roughly one-third — affecting 265 weekly international departure slots.
Adani Airport Holdings CEO Arun Bansal, acting like a bully, stated that airlines must vacate certain slots starting in April 2027 for the summer schedule. He didn’t stop at this, but drew an analogy to a landlord giving notice to a tenant, noting that international airlines, unwilling to relocate to Navi Mumbai, could choose to temporarily suspend their operations instead!

Major international carriers (including Air France-KLM and Emirates) along with the Airline Operators Committee (AOC) have opposed the forced transition. They cite operational inefficiencies in splitting flights across two different hubs, passenger inconvenience, and lack of complete support infrastructure at NMIA.
Adani can afford to do this because he knows that he has his best buddy in his pockets.
