HC STAYS LAKSHADEEP ORDER
THE Kerala High Court has stayed two orders passed by the political administrator, Praful Khoda Patel, on the ban of non-veg items in the mid-day meal for children and on the production of milk. Patel who is a politician and not an IAS officer has also lifted the ban on daru. The ban on dairy products is to force the Union Territory to import it from Gujarat!

FORGET about tourists, even their pets will now have to carrying vaccine certificates to testify that they are not suffering from rabies. This is subsequent to the fact that Goa has been declared the first rabid free state in the country with rabies eliminated completely. Even locals will have to their pets vaccinated against rabies.
UNIVERSITY EXAMS CANCELLED
ALL exams proposed to be conducted by Goa University for graduates and post-graduates classes in the physical mode have been cancelled. The government is yet to take a decision on when they will held online. Students are getting frustrated and local dailies are carrying advertisements for admission for leading technical and management institutes, including the Goa Institute of Management, Birla Institute of Technology and VM Salgaocar Hospitality Institute.
FAKE FACEBOOK POST
SOCIAL media companies will shut down fake accounts within 24 hours if there is a complaint. This will apply to people who impersonate other individuals, the use of popular personality as their profile picture, morphing of celebrities. Fake accounts of companies for selling fake products or promoting financial scams like offer of credit cards and loans will also be removed if there is a complaint.
COVID-19 NEGATIVE EXEMPT
QUARANTINE and covid-19 tests are not required for domestic travellers in Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh. Covid-19 negative certificate is required in Surat and Kandla for passenger arriving from Maharashtra to Gujarat. Similarly negative certificates are necessary for passengers travelling to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. In Bihar passengers arriving from Maharashtra, Punjab and Kerala have to have a negative certificate. To travel out of Goa or to enter Goa a covid-19 negative certificate is mandatory.
CALLING INDUSTRIAL WORKERS
THE Goa Labour Welfare Board has extended is benefits of schemes to eligible industrial works in Goa for the year 2021-2022. If you qualify as an industrial worker you may apply through your employers to Office of the Secretary, Goa Labour Welfare Board, Sharm Shakti Bhavan, 4th floor, Patto-Plaza, Panaji, Goa. Workers who have put in more than six months of continuous service are eligible to claim benefits.
Workers whose pay does not exceed Rs20,000 per month in respect of schemes may apply for financial assistance for purchase of textbooks, notebooks, uniform, financial assistance for school going children studying 1st to 4th standard.
