EMPTY PANAJI AS CURFEW GETS UNDERWAY!

In an easier repeat of last year’s lockdown it is time to stay at home again to break the covid-19 infection chain. This time only essential services will be open in the morning hours but most establishments are closed with the exception of few eateries, whose kitchens may be open for takeaways or home delivery. This time’s lockdown is more like a curfew declared for 15 days starting from Sunday 9am, May 9 to 23, 2021. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in a live press conference on Friday stated that essential services will not be affected. Shoppers will be able to do their essential shopping 7am to 1pm.
Here are glimpses of Panaji market during curfew hours. Desolate and eerie!
